I have been planning a nursery design for about 4- 5 years now. We struggled for years trying to get pregnant and our dreams finally came true. I still can't believe that I am going to be a mom finally. I am so grateful for this little gift from God that is growing in my belly right now!
I have always been a fan of simple and neutral colors, and knew I wanted our nursery to feel cozy and inviting. I have never liked "themes" like whinny the pooh or rabbits or dinosaurs so I tried to do something that would be cute for a little boy without all the tacky-ness. I originally put this wall up years ago and was using this space as my office.
I had planned to keep it the same color and feature when we made it into a nursery, and it only cost me about 70$. I had paint left over already from our house and just had to by the wood strips and caulking. It's a cute design for very little money!
I bought a basket from At Home and a light kit from Home Depot. I cut a hole in the bottom of the basket and installed the light and hung. It was a lot cheaper than buying one. I believe I spent about 49$ on the basket and 15$ on the light kit!
