Wedding at Yosemite

Updated: Oct 2, 2023

I woke up at about 330AM to start getting ready. We had sunrise photos at Glacier point, so I had to get my hair done which takes about an hour to do and then makeup which is about another hour! We stayed in this cute little loft style room, so my husband had to go downstairs while I was prepping. The photographers met us there and we did some simple pics and then drove the thirty minutes to Glacier.

At Glacier there was a little walk over to the ceremony spot where we did the first look. My hubby shed a few tears at how beautiful I was and how lucky he was to be marrying me ha-ha!

I found these cute little camo shoes I wore under my dress. I knew heels werent going to cut it for me on the terrane so I chose these! You couldn't see them when my dress was down so it was perfect for me.

I bought my vail for about 20$ on Amazon. As far as vail go, this was perfect and I couldn't see spending hundreds of dollars on something that looked just the same as the cheap ones! It stayed in my hair just fine and I dont think anyone could tell the difference

I did not however skimp on my dress!

After a few tears we started the ceremony. We had Jake, my husband's best friend, get ordained and married us. He had gotten a little tipsy the night before, so he had a hard time with the early morning. We are so glad him and Kelsey were a part of our wedding day.

After Glacier point we had a few hours to kill because we wanted to do sunset photos over at Taft. We went back to our room and changed, and hung out in the park at a few different spots. Our friends actually ended up getting engaged right after this photo! We knew Jake wanted to propose so we drove around to a cool spot and he got it done!

We called my parents on Face Time, they were so excited!

This gorgeous dress is from Grace Loves Lace. I live in West Palm Beach Florida and unfortunately this store is not located close to me. I have a friend who lives in Dallas SO we flew to Dallas and stayed with her. She went dress shopping with me and I will tell you the dresses and the experience were amazing! I dont regret splurging on this at all!

We had a nice cheer at the end of the day and then hiked the 30 minutes back out of this spot. If you are considering Eloping, I highly suggest this park. It is one of the most beautiful spots you will ever see!
